The Cooperative Bank has hired Lauren Kiefer as director of human resources.

In her new role, Kiefer will provide strategic human resource leadership to meet the bank’s business objectives by developing and implementing human resource policies, programs and services.

Prior to joining The Cooperative Bank, Kiefer worked as a human resources generalist for a national independent medical examination and peer review organization where she oversaw human resource operations.

“Lauren brings a tremendous amount of experience to the bank that will help motivate and maintain a positive morale for our employees throughout all of our branches, while keeping us competitive with other local banks,” Phil Bryan, president and CEO of The Cooperative Bank, said in a statement.
