Radius Financial Group Inc. has completed its first Next Generation Independent Mortgage Banker (Nex-Gen IMB) training program, which was aimed at attracting Millennials to a career in the mortgage industry and addressing the needs of future Millennial homebuyers.

The rigorous 12-week paid program began in late May and focused on a core curriculum of inside and outside the classroom initiatives revolving around operations, sales and marketing to teach candidates about the business of residential lending and prepare them for careers with Radius.

Thirteen people, out of 20 originally accepted, graduated from the program, with the top three having their choice of positions within the company.

“I’m beyond proud of the success of our first Nex-Gen IMB class and the diverse makeup of our graduates,” Chief Operation Officer and Principal Keith Polaski said in a statement. “While we want to revel in the success of these 13 and their group leader Ron Blaze, more work needs to be done, and we’re eager to accept applications for the next group of candidates for our second Nex-Gen IMB program in November.”
