Two teams of active local developers have responded to the city of Boston’s offer of 4.4 acres in Roxbury for housing development.

Related Beal and DREAM Collaborative are partnering on one of the submissions, submitted to the Boston Planning & Development Agency in time for Wednesday’s deadline.

The second submission was received from a partnership of Madison Park Development Corp, Beacon Communities and J. Garland Enterprises, the BPDA announced.

The submissions are expected to be made public within a week following an internal review, BPDA Project Manager Natalie Deduck said.

Last fall, the city requested proposals for the parking lots next to the Boston Water and Sewer Commission headquarters on Harrison Avenue, Thorndike Street, Newcom Street and Lenox Street comprising 16 parcels.

The offering is the second “priority site” offered by the city under the surplus property disposition program designed to generate income-restricted housing. Last year, Trinity Financial was designated as developer of the Austin Street parcels in Charlestown after proposing 686 apartments and condominiums in four buildings.

In its request for proposals in Roxbury, the BPDA sought projects that will comply with the goals of PLAN: Nubian Square and Roxbury Strategic Master Plan, including housing affordability, job creation, ground-floor activation that benefits the community and a diverse development team.

The BPDA said it would give preference to developers reserving one-third of units for households earning a maximum 50 percent of area median income, and another third for those earning 51 to 70 percent of AMI.

The property will be awarded through a 99-year ground lease.

Related Beal declined to comment on details of its proposal and Madison Park Development Corp. did not respond to a request for comment.
