Clothing chain Uniqlo will mark the opening of its fourth Greater Boston store this week with promotions in partnership with local institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts.

Wellesley College’s Taiko drumming group will perform Friday at the grand opening of the 9,000-square-foot store at South Shore Plaza in Braintree.

The Japanese retailer will debut Boston-themed T-shirts during a series of promotions Friday through Sunday, including free carp streamer art distributed to customers in a partnership with the MFA.

The Japanese retailer operates 2,400 stores including 54 in the U.S. It opened its first Massachusetts location in 2015 at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and currently operates stores at The Shops at Chestnut Hill, Natick Mall and 341 Newbury St. in Back Bay.
