A high-end fitness club that operates five suburban locations in Massachusetts will expand into Boston in 2025.

Life Time announced the newest club will occupy 59,000 square feet at Boston Properties’ Prudential Center.

Opening next to an M&T Bank branch, the facility will include barre, cardio and cycle equipment Pilates and yoga studios, and a variety of fitness classes and training programs. The new location adds a Life Time Work lounge and the fast-casual LifeCafe.

Chanhassen, Minnesota-based Life Time promotes a “country club experience” at its more than 170 locations in the U.S.

During its suburban expansion in recent years, Life Time has become a sought-after tenant for developers of mixed-use projects.

In Burlington, Life Time partnered with developer Nordblom Co. on a 167-unit apartment complex which opened last summer at 20 Fourth Ave. under the Life Time Living brand next to its existing fitness club.

The company also operates clubs in Chestnut Hill, Framingham, Medford’s Station Landing, Peabody’s North Shore Mall and Westwood.
