Hill International, a firm which manages construction risk, has acquired TRS Consultants Inc., a firm that provides civil engineering, program management, construction management and information technology services primarily to the transportation and infrastructure market.

TRS, which has approximately 40 employees, is based in San Ramon, Calif.

Natick architecture and construction consulting firm ZweigWhite Financial Advisory Services initiated the transaction and served as financial advisor to TRS Consultants, according to a statement.

"TRS Consultants is an outstanding firm of construction management professionals with a great reputation in the transportation sector," said David L. Richter, Hill’s president and chief operating officer. "TRS considerably strengthens our resources and capabilities in Northern California."
