Remus Preda has been promoted to vice president, trust officer at Pittsfield-based Berkshire Bank.
Preda joined Berkshire Bank in October 2007 as a trust officer in the bank’s asset management and trust group in Vermont, according to a statement. He was previously employed for Morgan Stanley Trust as vice president and national liaison manager and has more than 13 years of experience in the trust and investment areas.
"Remus is a fine example of someone who takes the implications of his job very seriously," said Thomas W. Barney, senior vice president of Berkshire Bank. "He will be a valuable asset to our customers in his new position as vice president, trust officer."
Preda was also recently awarded the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association.
