Bryan Appointed CEO At The Cooperative Bank

Phil Bryan has been named president and CEO of Roslindale-based The Cooperative Bank.

Previously, Bryan was the chief operating officer and executive vice president of Georgetown Bank, a $270 million bank with a three branch network in Northeastern Massachusetts.

"I believe community banks are more important today than ever before," Bryan said in a statement. "With all the consolidation that’s happened in banking, community banks fill a gap with local consumers and allow people to have a real relationship with their banks. It’s that kind of relationship that helps people buy houses and build their local businesses."

The Cooperative Bank has office locations in Roslindale, West Roxbury and Charlestown.
