Citizens Commercial Banking, the commercial banking division of Citizens Financial Group formerly known as RBS Citizens, has named Michael Cummins as head of treasury solutions. He will join the bank next month.

Cummins comes to Citizens from HSBC where he was executive vice president and North American head of payments and cash management. He also was a member of the HSBC North American Executive Committee. Before that, Cummins spent 15 years at JPMorgan Chase, most recently as managing director and sales executive for treasury services responsible for North American corporations and subsidiaries of Asian, European and Latin American multinationals.

"Michael brings a strong track record of delivering great ideas for commercial banking customers and successfully expanding treasury services capabilities," Robert D. Matthews, vice chairman of commercial banking at Citizens Financial Group, said in a statement. "As we continue growing our overall commercial banking business, Michael will provide important leadership for our Treasury Solutions team."
