Needham Bank has donated $7,000 to the construction of the Condon Park playground in Dedham.
The 5,500-square-foot playground will be fully accessible to the handicapped and is expected to go out to bid after Labor Day.
Construction will begin shortly thereafter.
According to Donald Reisner, who organized the project, Needham’s donation is the first large donation the project has received.
The playground will be built using a seamless rubber surface to allow for easy maneuverability by those using wheelchairs or walkers.
