Easthampton Savings Bank’s assets surpassed $1 billion at the year’s end, the bank’s management reported at its quarterly directors’ meeting late last month.
"We met and exceeded all of our goals for asset growth and earnings, as well as our goals for charitable giving within the communities we serve," President and CEO Matthew S. Sosik said in a statement. "Overall, 2014 was just a great year and was the result of a lot of hard work and dedication from our board and staff."
According to the press release, total assets increased $37 million, or 3.7 percent, from 2013. In the fourth quarter, total loans increased $47 million over the third quarter to just over $773 million. Year-over-year, deposits increased $40 million, or 5 percent, to $869 million.
"Easthampton Savings Bank continues to be one of the most highly capitalized banks in the area, with a capital ratio of 12.9 percent," Senior Vice President and CFO Bozena C. Dabek said in a statement.
