First Needham Place at 250 First Ave. in Needham, a Bulfinch Cos. Inc. building, has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star certification.

First Needham Place is a three-story, 77,000-square-foot Class A office building developed by Bulfinch in 1997, according to a statement.

"We are pleased that First Needham Place has received the highly regarded Energy Star designation and we remain committed to protecting the environment through the use of sustainable and efficient energy practices throughout the Bulfinch portfolio," said Bulfinch President Eric Schlager.
