MountainOne Insurance, the insurance agency subsidiary of MoutainOne Bank, is expanding to the Southern Berkshire County market with a new office in downtown Stockbridge.

Stockbridge is known far and wide for its art and culture, as well as its cozy, small town feel. It’s a remarkably welcoming atmosphere to live and work. We are experiencing that firsthand, and we’re excited to offer the same to the Stockbridge community as we welcome you into our doors,” Jonathan Denmark, president and chief operating officer of MountainOne Insurance, said in a statement.

The new office will also accommodate two new agents the agency onboarded from insurance agency Brown and Brown, who recently vacated the Stockbridge office space MountainOne Insurance is opening in, Tim Minkler and Libby Peyron.

“[Minkler and Peyron’s] vast experience and deep industry knowledge will be a great asset to our customers and to MountainOne. No one knows the Stockbridge and Southern Berkshire County market better than they do, and from insurance needs to community engagement, they’ll help to ensure we are meeting the needs of the local community in every possible way,” Denmark said.

Based in North Adams, MountainOne Insurance said the expansion has increased its workforce to over 60 employees across seven locations throughout Berkshire County and the Pioneer Valley.
