Staff members of Mutual Bank will participate in the Bridgewater, Lakeville & Middleboro Relay for Life to raise money for research and programs facilitated by the American Cancer Society.

Around 40 Mutual Bank employees will take part in the fundraising event scheduled June 17-18 at the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School, according to a statement. Their fundraising goal is $10,000. Last year, the Mutual Bank Relay team raised approximately $7,000.

"Not only does the relay provide a chance for individuals to remember and honor those who have lost their battle with cancer, but it also serves to support and encourage people who are currently facing the disease," said Assistant Treasurer and Middleboro Branch Manager Thomas Pratt, who organized the Mutual Bank team. "In addition, the relay offers a chance for Mutual Bank employees to come together, working in unison to recognize the struggles of many and to go the distance for a common goal."
