Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group has reached the $2 billion in assets under administration mark, a 21 percent increase from the end of 2011.

The group’s assets have doubled since 2006, the bank said in a statement.

The group is made up of 50 employees and manages investments, trusts, estates, insurance and retirement plans for individuals, businesses and municipalities.

Rockland also uses a subsidiary, Bright Rock Capital Management LLC, to offer institutional investment management.
