Cambridge Savings Bank was recently named as the recipient of the Salvation Army’s 2009 Community Service Award.

Cambridge Savings was recognized for a $7,500 sponsorship of the Cambridge Community of Realtors Mardi Gras Soiree. The event benefited Our Place, which provides homeless families in Cambridge with child care.

"The outstanding support Cambridge Savings has provided to the many programs of The Salvation Army has been an inspiration to all of us who serve the neediest members of the community," said Major Steve Carroll, commanding officer, Salvation Army. "Cambridge Savings Bank has made a significant impact on the lives of hundreds of adults and children in our community."
