Worcester-based Bay State Savings Bank has promoted Osman K. Acheampong of Worcester to vice vresident/credit administration officer and Cheri E. Carty of Brookfield to vice president/treasurer.

Both work at the 28 Franklin Street branch office.

Acheampong has worked in the banking industry for over 10 years in a variety of capacities, including mortgage underwriting and investment services. He joined Bay State Savings Bank in April 2011 as a credit administration officer.
Cheri Carty has over 25 years of banking experience, twenty of which with Bay State Savings Bank. Initially hired as an operations clerk in 1992, Carty advanced to operations assistant and later treasury assistant. She was most recently assistant treasurer.
